Life has been rather hectic of late, so it was with great pleasure that I put the brakes on yesterday morning, if only momentarily, to capture these images.
With my attention trained on the birds congregating around my backyard fountain I completely forgot about my hurry to get to wherever it was I was going. Instead, I sat transfixed, as the bird’s chirping intensified.
Though certainly not a tropical setting, the scene in my yard reminded me of the talking mynah birds in Aldous Huxley’s final novel, Island. The birds repeatedly screeched out a simple but profound proclamation that I’ll leave you with on this beautiful Friday:
“Attention, attention, Here and now, here and now.”
Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Hope you find countless reasons to smile!

You’ll never believe this but I did the exact same thing yesterday sitting in Central Park watching the ducks bathe themselves! Taking time with nature is THE best way to reflect and soak it in. Bravo for finding right in your backyard. Have a wonderful weekend!
Great minds, right
The next time I’m in NYC I will look for you in the park
