Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was a bit hectic—family party, ailing pet—but Saturday afternoon provided my daughter and I a few perfectly peaceful hours to stroll in our town square and stop by the always inviting outdoor mercado.
A gorgeous array of fresh flowers, and colorful fruits, and vegetables, are artfully placed on and along the brick facade walls that line this old-world alleyway. Its European charm reminded us both of our travels through France and the many outdoor markets we frequented and loved. Simple pleasures are the best, aren’t they?
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make it a great day!

Gorgeous photos! Does indeed resemble France.
Beautiful quaint setting and great style as always…..
Merci
City of the Big Shoulders? Whoa, that’s not the Chicago I remember! Thanks for a luscious glimpse of the new.
You are welcome, though this lovely spot is located along Chicago’s North Shore, 30 minutes from the city, where things are a little more country
It is really hard to believe such a quaint spot is in the USA, and not in a European village
It’s definitely a popular spot in our town
Hi Marie!
What lovely photos! You look gorgeous as ever! The dress, bag, scenery….wow!
You are very kind! It was such a beautiful day—a nice little break
This is exactly the kind of spot I would gravitate to, it looks like it feels good just to be there. Love your ensemble, very pretty!
Thanks, Elisa! So lucky to have this charming little escape right in my own backyard!
I so adore farmer’s markets! Love your photo too, of course!
Sorry it took me so long to pop in for a peek at your weekend adventure with your daughter. My goodness it reminds me of the Cannery here in San Francisco, and yes it is loaded (your Mercado spot as well as the Cannery) with European charm. Hey that Chanel bag is a wow. You know I have a soft spot in my heart for Chanel.
