Christian Louboutin Prive Glitter Pumps, Asics Gel Cumulus Running Shoes
I’m a girly girl who has always loved playing dress-up. I’m a wannabe jock who would have loved to run the mile at the Olympics. The first compulsion has been satisfied with a dreamy big-girl closet filled with my favorite objets d’art that would make any fashionista swoon. The second, with regular long distance runs and occasional competitive races. A contradiction? Perhaps. But I think it’s our contradictions (my list is soooo long
) that allow us to make our own unique imprint in the world. How about you? Are you a series of contradictions, too?

Be back soon with more of my road trip tales. Until then, make it a great day!
A wonderful pairing…….
ah, but you’re not answering the question
Do you do things that appear to be contradictions?
Seems as if it is our contradictions that make it possible for us to maneuver through life
Thanks for putting the concept into words, as well as posting such a great picture!
You are welcome!
Yes! I was in the Tory Burch store in Buckhead today returning a shirt that I had coveted for months. I told them I needed to bring it back because it was too itchy…they looked at me like I was crazy. Comfort over style these days!
P.S. Is that a band aid on your toe?
It just might be
Funny! (although I hope your toe is okay!)
I LOVE this photo!!
No contradiction here…just a well rounded today’s woman!
I like that!
I thought contradictions were only for us Geminis!
You make a good point
I’m a Gemini and thrive on contradictions! Here are my three contradictions:
1) I love beauty and looking my best, but I love having a “day off” where I’m in something stretchy, hair in a ponytail and no make-up whatsoever. I’ll wear my chunky Buddy Holly glasses and embrace my inner nerd.
2) My apartment is almost perpetually messy, but when I entertain I go into Martha Stewart overdrive.
3) Moderation is something I cannot do. I’m either in excess or spartan mode.
Bonus: bacon and chocolate go together.
Haha! What a great list—especially the messy vs. Martha Stewart! I can relate. I’ve got guests coming this afternoon and my inner Martha has yet to kick in. I guess I love the hard-deadline, as in pull it together an hour before everyone arrives
