“We need a renaissance of wonder.
We need to renew, in our hearts and in our souls, the deathless dream,
the eternal poetry, the perennial sense that life is miracle and magic.”
~E. Merrill Root
February in Chicago—it never felt so good;
a baby evergreen amidst the towering oaks—if not a sign of spring, then at least hope for good things to come;
the lines and light of the angel that keeps watch over my home—a reminder to be more cognizant of the angels in our midst;
the drone of dump trucks and excavating equipment, a drum beat signaling the slow and steady metamorphosis taking place across the street;
the joy of creature comforts—a new bed for Max and Maggie;
Madge performing during the SuperBowl half-time show;
the New York Giants win Super Bowl XLVI—one of the best games in years! Congrats!
Happy Monday everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful quote, and the baby evergreen made me smile! Hope we can drive by that evergreen in 20 years and see it towering above the house tops!
